FITMENT GUIDE

Although our collars are adjustable we strive to put your dog in the best fitting collar possible. If your dog falls between sizes select the next size up. While there's multiple ways to measure your dog for a collar the method we recommend is by using a flexible tape measure (tailors tape). You'll start by wrapping the tape around the middle / thickest part of their neck. Pull the tape snug but allowing two fingers to fit in between the tape and your dogs neck. The end of the measuring tape will stop at a number as demonstrated in figure 1. For example this dogs collar size is a size 18.

For those who don't own a tailors tape don't stress. Another method would be to use a shoe lace, string, rope, or phone cord. You'll simply wrap your (item of choice) around the middle / thickest part of their neck. Pull the item snug but allowing two fingers in between their neck and the item. Then release the end of the item still holding on to the spot of the item where the end reached to. Next using a measuring tape or yard stick measure from the end of the item to the spot where your finger is as demonstrated below in figure 2 and 3. For example this dogs collar size is 18.

Another method would be to use their current collar. For a side release buckle simply lay the collar on a flat surface. Measuring from point A to point B as demonstrated in figure 4 (size 7). Be sure to measure from the appropriate part of point A on the male side of the collar as this can alter the measurement 1 to 2 inches.

If your current collar is equipped with a bar style buckle measure from the end of the collar material within the buckle (A) to the hole used (B). This is demonstrated in figure 5 (size 18).
